Marie Antoinette: Styled Wedding Inspiration
Hello ladies! I hope you’re all having a marvelous start to the week and you enjoyed a lovely relaxing weekend with your loved ones. How’s the wedding planning going? I hope everything’s under control? If you’re a bit of a vintage magpie {like me} there’s a really cool wedding fair coming up organised by the vintage shape mistress herself, Zoe Lem. Zoe Lem’s vintage wedding fair is taking place this Sunday, at The Old Sessions House in Clerkenwell.
AND… if you do decide to pop down, you’ll get the chance to meet lickle old me. Yes, I’m setting up shop for the day, nothing major, just gonna pop down and introduce myself to a few of the awesome wedding exhibitors on show. Please come by and introduce yourself, I would LOVE to meet you!
Today I’m sharing a styled shoot put together by Buttons and Rose Events to promote the launch of their brand new crafternoon tea party venture. If you’re looking for unique hen party ideas you may find this interesting, read more towards the end of the post! Inspired by the Sophia Coppola movie, Marie Antoinette, I think you’ll agree they’ve styled this pretty shoot to perfection!
The theme we chose was centred around the Sophia Coppola film Marie Antionette. The styling of the film was of luxury and opulent excess under Louis 16th and his indulged bride Marie Antoinette. At this time of austerity the idea of such indulgence with a limited budget will appeal to brides. We shot on location at The Liverpool Town Hall a grade 2 listed building which is a popular venue for weddings and civil ceremonies. A full list of credits below.
About Buttons and Roses:

Book a hen party and you and your party will receive afternoon tea (any time of the day) including a full menu of food including finger sandwiches and decorated cupcakes. A craft session of the bride to be choice. Hen party workshops include: button & brooch bouques and button holes, fascinators and hair accessories, wedding stationary & favours, frilly knickers and garters, crockery painting, cupcake decorating and sweet trees. All workshops will work with the colour schemes and themes of your big day and will be professionally taught to ensure you receive a product fit for your big day. We can come to you in the comfort of your own home or chosen party venue style & decorate the party with props to suit.
Lots of Love,
