What Katy Did Next prides itself on being a UK based company with every single headpiece being handmade with love by designer Katy Howieson. Brides love the care put into each design that give them individuality, texture and substance. 
After spending most of last year on bespoke orders, Katy was really looking forward to making a bold statement with a dramatic Winter collection. 
She was hugely inspired by the hoards of metallic, glittering gold on the A/W Bridal catwalks and wanted to create a line of unique headwear and accessories with a regal air, that encouraged brides to step outside the box – whether it be with something delicately different or a more striking piece. 
The Reign collection has been a huge hit since launching in January, brides are going crazy for gold! However, if gold isn’t your cup of tea – a lot of the designs can be altered to work with silvers, ivory and pearl shades.

I love this headpiece, it is totally different to anything else I’ve seen in my epic hunt for wedding accessories, and really suits the look I’m going for i.e. boho glam! My dress is floaty and ethereal, no meringues in sight, but my accessories are going to be a bit more sparkly and glam (so that I can wear them again, smart eh!). The wedding itself will hopefully be very relaxed, we’ve booked out a gorgeous Gastro Pub in North London and hope to chill under the fairy lights in the garden into the wee hours.

So I hope the fact that I’m not having my own wedding at the moment doesn’t disqualify me ;) I adore this headpiece! But pretty much everything else in these photos. If I don’t win- I think I need something just for my daily life. Luckily, in brooklyn you can get away with anything so I could totally wear this any time! Random.org please pick me! hehehe. I love how pretty and natural the headpiece looks – really delicate and sweet. Our wedding is themed around things we like….so not everything will match but at least it will have meaning to us.

My wedding is 8/8/2015 and the theme is feathers and GOLD LEAVES! I don’t have a headpiece yet, but a friend just shared these with me and they are dreamy beyond belief. Like I’ve had a vision of these in my head for so long, and now to see them existing in reality is amazing!
