We wanted to aim the editorial at modern couples interested in London weddings featuring unique ways of paying homage to a love for nature and the outdoors.
We chose Epsom Common, as we really wanted somewhere that looked and felt like a forest for this shoot. It turned out to be a perfect backdrop for this project – beautiful, peaceful and immersed in nature.

We had the incredible Valentina from The Stars Inside help with the styling! She was incredibly efficient, super hardworking, and the sweetest girl. She helped pull my vision of an elopement in the forest into a reality!
As the photographer, I’ve been wanting to attract couples who value beauty (such as styling and decor), but actually really value having their closest friends and family with them on their special day and not worrying about traditions and what must be done, but rather, enjoying one of their precious days with their closest friends and family in their own way.
So, I decided I wanted to style an elopement. But I didn’t want it to just be a styled elopement, I wanted emotions involved to really be able to tell a story to everyone. I got a real married couple, Jessie and Jake, to be involved as they are such sweethearts.
I asked them to write each other vows, that they could say to each other after all these years of being together – but Jessie knocked it out of the ballpark! They had been trying for a baby for a little while, and she found out she was pregnant a few days before the shoot and told me she was going to spill the beans to Jake during our shoot so that I could capture the reaction.
It was absolutely priceless! It was exactly the type of emotions I wanted to portray in this styled elopement – your wedding day can be a day full of laughter, love, and happy tears surrounded by your closest family and friends.
The team that helped me pull this together was absolutely amazing. I had this vision in my mind, but Valentina from The Stars Inside helped gather the vendors together and styled it SO beautifully! She planned it all so wonderfully and efficiently and helped me to not have to really worry about much else besides the concept and my photography.
Zuzanna from Bloomantic did such an amazing job with the wild forest decor and really pulled all the florals together to bring our vision to life. We had so many other wonderful vendors involved that helped pull this together as well.
Such a sweet elopement editorial, and Jessie announcing her pregnancy just made it all the more adorable. Congratulation you guys!
