Vintage Pastel Pop: Styled Wedding Inspiration.
Goooood afternoon! It’s Friday (yay day) and I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things after gallivanting off on a very wet and rainy styled shoot! So how’s things coming along wedding planning wise? I hope you’re enjoying everything wedding?! Of course you are, it’s such a fabulous time in a girls life!!
I have a really fun and different shoot I’d like to share with you today; perfect for the bride who’s looking for something a little bit quirky {but still wants to ramp up the pretty to the max}.
I’m gonna leave you in the hands of Becky Mitchell who explains the inspiration and collaboration behind the shoot.
The look is a simple combination of delicate, pretty, softened vintage pastels with a bold, bright and neon edge.
Make-up by Jo dolled up the vintage inspired classic look with a modern, pop of colour twist with block colours on the eyes and lips for a bold statement.
50’s inspired pretty pastel prom dresses from LouLou {available from Truly Beautiful Bridal Boutique } complemented the look with a pretty, feminine touch.
Stylist Adrian Wray of Chocolate, funked up the girls hair with quiffs and texture, adding a flash of yellow to tie in the bright eye shadow.
I love meeting new and inspirational people and young Sophie from Nancy Loves Nails is one of those people. So when I met her through the vintage fairs I organize I knew she would create pretty painted nails that fitted perfectly with the pastel shades of the prom dresses.
The headpieces and fascinators are from Shmoobamboo – how bonkers are they?!
Thanks so much for sharing Becky!! Some of you brides to be may recognise these prom dresses from a recent post I shared, have another little nose here >>> Alternative brides or bridesmaid dresses…
Lots of Love
