Yummy, yummy, yummy I’ve got love in my tummy and I feel like loving you! GC Couture‘s, Through The Eras, Luxury Wedding Cake Collection certainly looks very scrummy indeed. I’m loving their eclectic range and style of wedding cakes, from the 1980s pale pink ‘Whitney’ to the modern and understated bling of the ‘Elizabeth’, they all look gorgeously divine and come in an incredible 41 different flavours…
The 2013 collection draws inspiration from an eclectic mix of the exquisite designs of the past century, starting with elegant motifs from the 1920s and ranging to cutting-edge, contemporary designs.
Marie Sinclair, Director at GC Couture said: “The new collection is designed to reflect the diversity of our clients’ tastes and to suit a number of wedding themes, from decadent vintage-inspired designs to modern, trend-setting creations. At GC Couture our focus is making our client’s dream cake, rather than having a signature style, and the ‘Through the Eras’ collection really showcases that versatility. We have cakes featuring colourful floral motifs, decadent gold adornments, delicate blue and lace patterns – every couple is different and we love to cater for great taste, no matter what that might be.”
And speaking of great taste, all of GC Couture’s 41 unique flavours will be available with the 2013 collection, from its twist on the classic: Fruitcakes Without the Bits, to indulgent Nutella and adventurous Chocolate and Chilli. New flavours such as White Chocolate & Ginger, Chocolate & Pistachio, Blue Velvet and Half & Half (half chocolate, half vanilla) will all make an appearance. All flavours can be adapted to cater for religious and dietary requirements, including eggless, dairy free and gluten free diets.
In addition to the new designs, GC Couture has kept on two of its classic cakes from 2012: ‘Victoria’, a hit with vintage-inspired brides with its extravagant, Gatsby-glamour design, and ‘Elizabeth’, a regal and stunning, diamond-inspired contemporary cake.
Marie adds: “There has been so much demand for the Victoria and Elizabeth designs from 2012 that we decided to incorporate them into the 2013 collection as GC Couture’s legacy cakes. They are perfect bookends for our ‘Through the Eras’ concept, with the 1920s-inspired ‘Victoria’ serving our opulent vintage-loving brides and arriving in the 21st century with the sparkle and glamour of ‘Elizabeth’.”
Part Two of ‘Through the Eras’ collection will be launched in the first quarter of 2013 where a few limited edition designs will be available for an exclusive period. (More details to follow in January).
Oh my… I can’t wait to see what GC Couture comes up with next for part deux of this super sweet collection, but for now… I’ll have a Nutella flavoured Racquel please… how about you?
