It’s always so exciting to share styled shoots with you lovely brides-to-be, not only does it give you inspiration for the styling of your wedding day, but it’s also the perfect way for wedding suppliers to showcase what they’re capable of. Today’s styled shoot is full of vintage glamour… with a modern twist! Art deco meets glam chic… beautiful, vintage inspired bridal attire set amidst a luxurious River Boat with Art Deco inspired furnishings. How decadent! Imagine… cruising down The River Thames on your own luxury boat. It would be a wedding reception like no other…

The shoot idea came around from working with Jo at the London Eye, who run the Barracuda Boat, and an aim to create an inspirational set of images that really showed the boat in all its glory.
The style of the shoot was initially inspired by the boat itself, which has a modern deco feel to it. Using that as a starting point we got brands such as Jenny Packham on board for one of the brides dresses.
The flowers and dessert table were both designed to reflect the deco style with feathers, mirrors and beads and using soft pastels mixed with black for a striking colour scheme.
Nadira, the stylist, sourced a selection of mens suits, all with a style that wouldnt be amiss in the 1920s. Accessories such as brogues and a trilby for our groom and a parasol, feather fan and beautiful beaded bags and accessories finished our brides outfits.
The images capture the day to night aspect of the boat, and show how fabulous the boat looks in the evening. We even got to cruise on the river so as to capture Tower Bridge, the London Eye and the Thames at night.
