Today’s real wedding was submitted to me by a talented wedding photographer based in Cornwall. Alan of Alan Law Photography captured the very intimate wedding day or Laura and Dean in the gorgeously windswept and rather rustic Lusty Glaze. It looks like the most amazing place to say ‘I do’. Imagine being bare to the elements, looking out past the deserted beach and the endless sea, declaring your sacred vows and love for one another! Well that’s exactly what our lovely couple did…
To try and describe our wedding day along the same lines as others has been hard to do. For us, I think it is best to just fill you in as I have done with close friends. Dean and I love to be surround by the elements, and adore the intimate setting of being at the cottage – so we found both. I have to say, that Dean, is responsible for scouting the amazing sights!
Lusty Glaze took us down 130 steps from the top of the cliff to the coast, and created a full and private view of the ocean and sky.
The cottage at Poltarrow Farm provided a gorgeous cozy space for Dean and I to prepare for our big day. We arrived two days earlier and this gave us time to settle in. We indulged in an endless roaring fire, bubble baths, and enjoyed tasty meals. The cottage had more then enough space for two chefs in the kitchen! (I must say, that Dean is the most extraordinary chef!)
We had fun putting things together and planning our day together, which included arranging and making my bouquet and Dean’s boutonniere, a basket of treats and cookies, and writing our wedding vows and promises to keep.
We shared our vows, and crossed our hearts with the ocean and sky, blue and bright.
We laughed, and shared and it all felt RIGHT!
The day of our wedding was simply beautiful.
The two weeks of English rain decided to stop; the clouds broke and the sun shone on through.
We are so excited to do it all again! In August we are having a reception in Canada at another beautiful outside venue to celebrate with our family and friends.
This way we get the best of both worlds, our personal, intimate day in Cornwall, and then a great dance party in Toronto.
Wow! What amazing photography and what an intimate day! I almost feel like I’m there. I love that Laura rocked out a sequined bridal dress and metallic heels! A true WTW bride if I ever did see. Huge congrats to Dean and Laura, can’t wait to see your Canadian vows now :) XxX
Lots of Love,
XxX Sonia
and remember… keep wanting!
