Is it me or is this week just flying by? Can’t believe it’s Friday tomorrow. Oh yeeeeah, I loves me a Friday ;)
So my share with you today lovelies is a very pretty and romantic styled shoot that took place at an amazing wedding venue called the Fennes.
The inspiration started with a piece of gold sequinned cloth and grew from there. An elegant mix of pale golds, mercury silvers, gorgeous candle light and pretty pastels hues. This styled bridal shoot is bound to inspire all you girly girls who love muted pastels and pretty sparkles. Well, that’ll be me too then.
Enjoy! Words by Lisa Alger of Essex Wedding Beauty.

The stunning head pieces provided by upcoming hair accessory designer Sense of Wonderment sat beautiful in our ‘bride’s’ brunette tresses. The autumn inspired headband below is designed with an abundance of champagne freshwater pearl beads and clear crystals for a textured effect.
Our inspiration for this styled shoot developed from the elegant interior of The Fennes. All the suppliers were excited at the prospect of creating a glamorous styled shoot as it is so different from the current trends of vintage or the rustic, country style.
When it came to hair and makeup, like the other suppliers, I wanted to create a style that was more structured and different to the current trends. I styled the hair in an intricate updo which worked beautifully with Lucy’s warm chocolatey hair. Lucy has beautiful eyes which I wanted to enhance with a warm subtle smokey eye.
The stunning stationery, provided by Sarah at Russet & Gray, contained traditional typography in powder pink and silver to compliment the theme. The thank you cards were designed in a complimentary style and are a cute way to thank each guest personally for celebrating the day with the bride and groom. Each card is handmade to order with individual guests names too.
Tarik, photographer, and Hakan, videographer, have a fantastic ability to tell the story of a couple’s big day, and they created the same magic on our styled shoot.
Russet & Gray also provided the gorgeous recycled brown kraft boxes which are supplied ready to be filled and decorated to each bride and groom’s style. Being made of a greaseproof material they are perfect for edible favours but alternatively hold any other item fabulously. The sweet little brown paper favour bags are also supplied ready to be filled and decorated.
An all white bouquet is the obvious choice for the chosen theme, however Lily & May Floristry wanted to show that colour can be used to create something just as glamorous. They used a really soft colour palette, lots of cream and off white with splashes of dusky pink and light greens. The bouquet contained White O’Hara Garden Roses, they have a gorgeous colour, creamy on the outer petals and very subtle peach tones in the centre. They also used Upper Secret Roses, Astilbe (Europa), White Veronicas, White Anemones, White Freesia and Eucalyptus.
The initial source of inspiration for the beautiful table styling came from some gorgeous gold sequinned fabric sourced by Claire and Saphire from Lily & May. This was used to create the focal point for the table centre with a dome of white and dusky pink roses to complement the fabric.
