We wanted to keep the day true to us and decided to create some of our own wedding traditions – Elyse & Tim
Good evening lovelies, I have a total knock-out wedding to share with you all today! Tim & Elyse are one. helluva. gorgeous couple and said their emotional ‘I do’s’ on the Australian sunshine coast .
With their wedding day inspired by all things vintage, chic & eclectic, Elyse wedding style was bound to be mesmerising! She looks effortlessly stunning in her low cut backless wedding dress by Amanda Garrett.
It’s covered in the prettiest iridescent beads and is aptly named ‘snowflake’. With delicate capped sleeves, it is the perfect gown for any bride wanting an incredibly romantic, yet ultra chic look. Yup. This is one bridal gown you will definitely be fawning over!
I think you’ll also love the choice of bridesmaid dress too. Very chic. Love the soft, nude colour choice and mix and match elements.
And if all that wasn’t quite enough… our gorgeous couple had their day and creative shoot captured by the wonderful peeps at Milque Photography. This is one chic wedding you are going to love!
Words by Elyse.
Tim and I first met at Moffat Beach Headland. 4 years later Tim organized a romantic sunset picnic at the exact same spot. This is where he asked me to marry him.
My wedding dress was Snowflake, by Amanda Garrett. I chose this dress as I wanted something non traditional but still chic and romantic. When I saw this dress I knew it was exactly what I was looking for.
I really loved the low back and she sheer sleeves… And the beaded overlay added that extra something special.
My Dad walked me down the aisle to ‘Such Great Heights’ by Iron & Wine.
My 10 year old sister read an excerpt of the whimsical children’s book “I Like You” during the ceremony, which ended up being a highlight for many of our guests.
One of my most memorable moments was walking down the aisle and seeing all the people I love together in one place. It was very emotional and something I will never forget.
I was uncomfortable with the idea of a garter and bouquet toss and wanted to do something a bit more personal so I presented my bouquet to my Grandparents who were also the longest married couple at the wedding and gave a short speech on long lasting marriage.
Our wedding photographers Milque Photography were seriously incredible and made our creative shoot so much fun. I’m not into posing for photos so their style was perfect for us.
After the ceremony I replaced my veil for a fresh flower halo. I loved it so much that after the wedding I dried it out and put it in a frame on my wall.
If I could advise any future bride to be. I would say… Don’t stress the small things, on the day your so excited and full of love that everything is perfect no matter what happens.
Oh super WOW. I love this wedding. Amazing couple. Amazing photography. Uh-may-zing dress, and I love that Tim & Elyse decided to create their own wedding traditions. Are you planning any of your own wedding traditions? I’m sure myself and WTW followers would love to hear about them.
Thank you so much to Milque Photography and Tim & Elyse for sharing your magical wedding with WTW readers.

WoW :) – beautiful natural photographs, really capturing the essence of their wedding day.
Most beautiful wedding we have seen for ages. The attention to detail was amazing, we loved the brides hand jewellery and the grooms bow tie. The photographs as the sun was setting were stunning!
So glad you love as much as I do :)) XxX
