Pet Pooch Engagement Shoot: Nick & Hannah

Pet Pooch Engagement Shoot: Nick & Hannah

Ooooo aren’t these pooches cute? Just as cute as their loved up owners too!

I’ve a lovely little engagement shoot to share with you today. Captured by wedding photographer Marianne Chua, Nick & Hannah wanted to commemorate their impending nuptials with a carefree e-shoot in Hylands Park, and of course, it was a must do to bring along their pet pooches. A ridiculously cute boxer called Molly and their little westie Jock.

Let’s get to know them all a little better…

How did you meet and fall in love?

We met online, and arranged to meet at Hylands House to walk Molly (our Boxer dog) and have afternoon tea. Molly made her introductions by jogging our table in order to see another dog, and splashed a jug of milk into Nick’s lap!

The weather was beautiful, and it was just a really casual, fun and relaxed date. I was obviously head over heels even then, either that or just nervous, as I put my car into reverse when leaving and backed my car into a bush!

Who proposed? Where and When?

We had been on a family holiday to Portugal, and although it had been suggested that Nick might propose whilst we were away, no ring materialised.

However, on arriving home, both of our dogs were waiting for us, and I was met with a house full of white lilies which are one of my most favourite flowers.

Before I could ask why, Nick was down on one knee, and I had said yes!

Where are you tying the knot? What kind of a wedding are you having?

We are getting married in my local church (Stock Harvard), in which my parents, and Sister/Brother in Law got married.

Then we are moving on to a vintage affair at Clockfoot Barn. It’s a local venue that does not have many weddings, so it’s somewhere a bit more unique, without fixed rules on how the day should be.

We are having vintage china, ice creams served from a Morris Minor, a cocktail bar, live entertainment, with the focus on real family fun. Our photography is documentary, as we didn’t want formal or posing pictures. We just hope everyone enjoys our day just as much as we do.

Complete the following…

I knew it was love when…

Hannah: I could tell him anything, be myself, and he still loved me for all the craziness in life.

Nick: Silly things go wrong in life, but we are silly together.
