For our recent project florists Vanessa Birley and Darren Bone did exactly that – a vibrant head crown and a flower dress as well as jasmine that goes up the bride’s arm.
The initial idea seemed like an overmastering challenge, but nothing is impossible when you have the right team with you.”
Vanessa Birley, Vanessa Birley Florals says: “Designing flowers for any bride is always a gratifying and exciting experience. Choosing florals to suit her desires, temperament, dreams, location and often most importantly, her dress.
Working with the Verona Lain team, DLB and the exquisite Olwen Bourke designed bridal dresses, inspired me to create a vibrant head crown for the flower dress, oversized bouquet and floral back crown for the second dress. Working with seasonal flowers, including stunning parrot tulips, poppies, jasmine and gloriosa.
The table centre would grace any wedding table with its lushness and vibrancy.”
Darren Bone, DBL Floral Design says: “I have been developing ideas for bridal bouquets, creating alternatives to the handheld bouquet. For this particular idea, the inspiration came from the use of jasmine… delicate and strongly scented.
Trailing the jasmine from the bouquet, up the brides arm to link to the headdress, creating what I feel is an ethereal bridal look.
The bouquet includes peonies, lavender, beautiful scented sweet peas and the gloriously romantic David Austin ‘Constance’ rose.”
