I’m blown away by the elegance and grace of today’s intimate and stylish wedding.

Gorgeous bride Verena wore a beautiful Pronovias wedding gown to marry her love Malte, they opted for elegant DIY wedding details like gorgeous watercolour stationery and a stylish string-art guest seating plan.

What I really adore about this wedding though is that Verena & Malte did things their own way, even choosing to walk into the wedding ceremony together.

We’ve heard so many times that couples often can’t actually enjoy their big day. We are so happy and thankful that it was actually really different for us.

Early on in our planning we decided what would be important to us and what could go wrong without it being a major catastrophe. That allowed us to enjoy our day with our loved ones and be absolutely relaxed!

Malte and I didn’t walk down the aisle. We chose to walk in together!

Malte proposed at dinner with a good glass of wine in the comfort of our home. Afterwards our close friends had organised a surprise party.

Our talented wedding photographer was Jill Marie Photography.

We wanted our guests to feel like they were at a nice evening get-together with friends, relaxed and casual. That’s why we chose fresh flowers and DIY details such as the water coloured name cards for our wedding.

We really loved the great contribution of live-music from our friends and family. It made the evening perfect.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

To see the honest joy and pleasure for us in our guest’s eyes during cocktail hour.

If you could impart any words of wisdom to a future brides planning their wedding day, what would they be?

Start your wedding planning on time, so that you don’t end up stressing about it and have the impression that it’s an annoying chore, rather than a fun experience.

It’s worth it to keep looking till you find the perfect venue, that you like and that you don’t have to change too much to suit you.
