Today’s real wedding feature is a wonderful winter wedding at the gorgeous Gaynes Park with beautiful berry tones and a pretty rustic vibe.
Our lovely bride Chloe wore a stunning and timeless Belle & Bunty gown that was pure elegance and accessoried to perfection with a beautiful back necklace. Me likey.

We spent months searching for a venue and as soon as we drove up the drive to Gaynes Park we knew it was the one. It was everything we wanted rustic, Christmassy and romantic!
After going to a few bridal shops, including one very well known designer shop, I had lost all hope as the experience was not what I expected.
Then one Saturday, my mum flicked through our local paper and saw an advertisement for ‘Hertiage Brides’. We called them up, and they managed to squeeze us in.
As soon as I walked into the shop, Sam, the owner, made us feel so welcome and at ease. The shop is beautiful and filled with gorgeous accessories, dresses, and fairy lights! She showed me a few dresses she thought I may like, after I explained what I had in mind, and that’s when I found THE dress!
My Belle & Bunty wedding dress was comfortable elegant and classy. I loved how simple it was and the fact I could ‘bling it up’ with lots of accessories!
Sam really cares about her brides, and looks after you from start to finish. She is the loveliest lady and I cannot recommend her highly enough!
My church length veil is made by Richard Designs. I bought this from Heritage Brides. My gorgeous heels were from Christian Louboutin – a wedding present from my husband!
I also wore pearl earrings from Tiffany’s, a back necklace and head piece from Richard Designs. Those were both from Heritage Brides too!
Our beautiful flowers were from the ‘Florist on the Green’ in Old Town Stevenage.
My bridesmaid dresses were from Collection 8 in Phase Eight. As soon as we saw them, we fell in love! They were different, and non-traditional. My two flower girl dresses were from Monsoon.
My bridesmaids bought and picked their own shoes. They bought them from New Look and Dorothy Perkins! My two flower girls shoes were from Marks and Spencer.
My Dad walked me down the aisle and Ashley picked the song he wanted me to walk down the aisle to. As soon as he played it to me I fell in love with it too! Ludovico Einaudi – I Giorni.
Ashley proposed to me in Centreparcs in December 2013, we then got married exactly two years later.
We met during the winter 5 years ago at work (Ashley’s my boss!) and since then we have loved winter and this time of year. Hence why the proposal was in winter and so was the wedding!
After watching our wedding photographer Gemma work at a close friends wedding, we knew we had to book her! Her photographs and ideas are amazing and she makes you feel at ease.
She is not pushy and understands you have your own ideas on how you would like your photograph’s to look – something which not many photographers do.
It was an absolute pleasure to have Gemma shoot our wedding, and we could not recommend her highly enough!
Mediterranean Occasions styled parts of our venue. They provided us with a fabulous LED dance floor, lanterns, uplighting, and a chandelier.
A friend of mine recommended that I use Pinterest when we first got engaged. A lot of my ideas and styling inspiration for the reception came from there!
We had a wedding sweet table instead of wedding favours. I bought all of our sweets from Makro and Amazon.
What was your most memorable moment of the day / evening?
I cannot pick one thing. I loved every moment!
If you could impart any words of wisdom to a future brides planning their wedding day, what would they be?
Enjoy every moment. The build up and the day go so quickly. Take time to stand back and watch all your hard work coming together.
Aren’t winter weddings just so magical?
Thank you to Ashley & Chloe for sharing their wonderfully rustic and Christmassy winter wedding.
