Today’s pretty white wedding was an outdoor celebration in sunny Cornwall with gorgeous pops of bright colours.
Sophie wore a glamorous Phase 8 embellished wedding dress and dressed her bridesmaids in fresh white dresses with an array of gorgeous, colourful shoes… Summer wedding perfection!

We married outside at Pengenna Manor, Trelill, Wadebridge in Cornwall.
My dress was actually a bit maverick. I thought I knew just what I wanted. Plain, lace, simple and delicate.. but then browsing online one day, I came across the most amazing embellished dress through Phase Eight and fell in love. I ended up buying it without even trying it on! Lucky it fit really!
I really wanted all of my bridesmaids to be comfortable. They all look completely different and I know how hard it can be for ‘one style fits all.’ I wanted them to all have white, knee length dresses with bright coloured shoes.
Most of which came from Asos but the gorgeous flower girl, Abi, had a lovely little dress from Monsoon that though was white, also had bright flowers all over it. She loved it as soon as she saw it.
Loulabel floral designs did my flowers, she’s based locally and we’d met at a wedding fayre.
Her confidence, knowledge and friendliness really stayed with me. It was about a year later that I got in contact. Immediately she knew exactly what I wanted; seasonal, locally grown white flowers with flashes of brights. Loosely tied and relaxed.
My Mum walked me down the aisle to Sam Cooke – Wonderful World. It has always been a really special song to me.
We were really quite relaxed about the whole wedding. We both wanted that to reflect in the day. So the theme was more about embracing the natural beauty of the venue and just little pops of colour.
A guest had offered to bake our wedding cake and we pretty much gave him free reign. I’d said I wanted to keep it simple and fresh to reflect the season, so we had a really delicious sponge and buttercream ‘naked’ cake, decorated with fresh berries.
If we could offer any words of wisdom, we would say… Just relax. If you’re getting married, it’s so easy to want to get carried away with the little details and that can be stressful but really the most important things will be ready and planned, everything else will fade away with the magic of the day. Stick to your guns. Don’t let family expectations get in the way of what you want, it’s your special day and it should be exactly what you want and not anyone else.
