The inspiration behind this epic wedding dress collection by Catherine Langlois was to showcase the shades of a morning sky, in a variety of styles within the current favourite bridal tones of blush and grey.
The gowns range in style to suit the ultra romantic, classic, alternative and boho bride.
As a designer, Catherine wanted to show how blush can take on many different looks depending on the style of gown, fabric and detailing.
Inspired by the current bold floral trends seen on the bridal runways and interior decorating. The classic white strapless silk shantung “Delphine” gown has a detachable silk organza overskirt with a soft watercolour effect print.
The romantic ethereal “Jasmine” silk organza gown has intricate pastel floral applique and soft tulle petal inspired sleeves. The alternative gown ”Aurora” is the colours of a new dawn blended with floral applique.
The inspiration for the photo shoot was to take a princess inspired classic theme and “dirty up” the look. The models sported big, pink and purple messed up hair, the make-up was colourful pastels and slightly smudged.
The models were instructed to pose as if they had a good time at the wedding, and this was the next morning. Hence the title of the collection “Morning Sky”.
These Catherine Langlois wedding gowns are just incredible don’t you think, and I’m loving the dreamy styling of this shoot too!
