Along a secluded country lane dappled in March sunlight a romantic yurt just for two sits nestled in the woods, deep in the Shropshire countryside… The setting for this pared-down, but oh so romantic styled shoot.
A secluded, romantic destination for two is the dream of Emma Cantillion who has created a beautifully simple, natural setting for couples who want their day to be intimate, focusing solely on them…
Gilly Page an artisan jeweller creating bespoke silver keepsakes and wedding crowns fell in love with this beautiful setting as soon as she saw it and just knew she had to create a magical styled shoot to tell the story of this romantic, simple but beautiful ‘away from the world’ alternative wedding location.
The venue complimented perfectly the ethereal, bohemian beauty of the brides floral wedding crown, flower wreath, and button hole of silk flowers, ribbons and lace personalised with bespoke silver keepsake charms. The flowers, ribbons and lace echoing the colours of the woodland flora and fauna, and the dappled sunlight dancing through the trees…
Both Gilly and Emma were keen to use local artisans to help bring their vision to life, and for Gilly there was only one choice when it came to a wedding gown…
The hugely talented Jennifer Bone created a stunning bespoke ivory and pale gold silk, lace and tulle gown especially to compliment the flowers, ribbons and lace of Gilly’s flower crown, wreath and buttonhole.
The styling for the shoot was just as important as the setting with everything from the beautiful vintage wrought iron bed, the centre piece of the interior of the yurt to the rustic railway sleeper benches scattered with cosy sheepskins rugs around the romantic table set just for two outside the yurt nestled under the rooftop canopy of trees – all lovingly curated and styled by Emma and Gilly and is what the bride and her groom will see on their special day here…
The table scape for two inside this gorgeous handcrafted yurt, providing the most romantic of retreats is set with crockery, glasses, and napkins to complement and echo the colours and textures of the setting atop a vintage, reclaimed barn door table and vintage reclaimed chairs.
A beautifully simple but effortlessly elegant wedding cake of handmade local cheeses along with exquisitely detailed hand drawn stationery works wonderfully well with this table set just for two …
I love a sweet yurt wedding and oh the styling. So so pretty!
