This beautiful and romantic bridal editorial was inspired by the gorgeous lavender fields in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. A picnic style wedding shoot with shades of lavender, lilac and cream… dreamy!
Words by the stylist. Images by Eva Tarnok Photography.
The aim of the styled shoot was to create a very natural, timeless and feminine ambience and what better location than the stunning Lavender Fields.
The shoot was set in the heart of Ickleford, Hitchin overlooking Herefordshire fields and valleys. Choosing lilac as the main colour, Katie, our stylist used both lighter and darker shades to create depth.
Utilising colours of lavender and cream created a beautiful romantic touch. The picnic area set for two was designed and draped with exquisite luxury hand-dyed silk from Pom Pom Blossom.
Katie wanted to create a relaxed yet beautiful picnic with delicate red-wine, French breads and cheeses.
We aimed to capture different moods throughout the afternoon; initially, the afternoon light help us to create strong, vibrant images, and later the golden hour sunset light help us to create much softer, warmer, light-filled ones.
What an idyllic location to have your wedding photos taken. Want to see a real-life lavender fields wedding? Of course, you do!
