Metallics & Greenery: Stunning Copper & Eucalyptus Wedding Inspiration

This week, we draw inspiration from metallics and greenery, to create an on-trend minimal style. Eucalyptus and Copper are the perfect contrasting wedding inspo. Keeping your wedding inspirations focussed and simple in this way will ensure you nail that fine-art aesthetic we are all crushing so hard on.

2017 had a love for both rose gold accents and greenery, the Pantone colour of the year. Moving into 2018 we are going to see that love of metallics continue, with Copper accents used throughout wedding styling. Everything from furniture to table setting details, to make up looks and inked stationery. Copper will pop up everywhere. Use it in everything from your bouquets, to your invites, perhaps even be bold and go for all-copper chairs.

Eucalyptus seems the perfect organic contrast to this industrial metallic. Not only does it have its own soft metallic sheen, but it’s also sculptural and minimal. Imagine huge bridesmaids bouquets’ made up solely of Eucalyptus, tied with a simple copper ribbon; tables lined with runners of it’s flat and silvery branches; copper cutlery tied gently with tiny bundles of it’s aromatic leaves. Or perhaps in your bridal up-do, or inside the envelopes of your invites. Maybe even follow another huge trend for 2018, by creating some hanging installations for your greenery, suspended above your tables or at the top of your aisle.

Using just two ideas in your styling like this is a great guide. The simpler your ideas, the clearer the contrast can be. Keep in mind not just colours but textures and structures. When it comes to styling, so much of the time, less is more.
