Villa Le Fontanelle (Firenze, Italy), was our wedding venue. It dominated the roofs of Firenze and offered an amazing panorama together with the peace of nature all around the villa.

My wedding dress was from Atelier Eme’ in Firenze, the dress made of ‘Pizzo Fiorentino’ (Florentine Lace Dress) and tailor-made. Our wedding planner Caterina wisely recommended this bridal outlet and the dress immediately caught my heart.
We wanted to have an intimate, yet warm and family oriented wedding in a very nice location and a maximum of 100 guests, just family and closest friends.
In addition, since we had guests coming from several locations (Singapore, France, Germany, Holland, USA, Puerto Rico, Philippines, Canada, UK, and of course Italy) we wanted to choose an iconic location, well known worldwide for its beauty: hence Firenze.
A beautiful city with beautiful people and surrounded by one of the most beautiful countrysides in the world (to our taste), Tuscany.
Ilaria Petrucci our wedding photographer was professional, kind and always there where it was needed to catch the right moment.
She made us feel so comfortable from the very beginning with her discretion and clear and fun directions, we were able to relax in front of her camera – she captured the most magical moments for us! In fact, we hardly even noticed she was there and our guests have commented the same!
Ilaria was also kind enough to step in last minute and improvised herself as our translator for our legal ceremony in the morning as our plan A didn’t work out. She did a great job as we wouldn’t have been able to get married otherwise!
Our beautiful wedding venue was decorated with the most amazing herbs, berries, wood, ceramics, beautiful candelabra and amazing lights bought from Denmark. It all lent itself to the Tuscan wedding venue.
The most memorable thing of our wedding day was to see how nice and united our families are. A family of painters, sculptors, composers, designers, architects, musicians, singers… all beautiful people, connected by a strong family spirit and full of joy in their hearts.
Our wedding advice would be, take a holiday right before the wedding as we did! It helps to be relaxed before the big day.
Make sure there are no ‘dead moments’ during the whole day, plan activities, games, live music, food and drinks at any time. Make sure people always have something nice to be entertained with.
Trust your vendors! We couldn’t have dreamt for a better team.
What an effortlessly stunning wedding! Thanks so much to Marco and Severine for sharing their beautiful big day with Want That Wedding, and lets not forget the wonderful vendors (below) who helped to make their big day so special.
