Rosie of Mapperley Farm had been receiving enquiries about holding wedding breakfasts’ in the Woodland area as well as the actual wedding ceremonies. Because of this, we wanted to create a styled wedding shoot that could show real brides how a magical woodland wedding could look.

The vision was of creating a style, very loosely based around the Mad Hatter tea party with a huge long table in the Woodland and when we got together to discuss ideas we decided to incorporate one main character from the Mad Hatter theme and so a white rabbit named Boris was chosen! This then became the base for our styling.
Our florist created the most amazing floral displays both on the table and in the centre of the ceremony structure. The theme remained white with only gold and greenery to compliment.
All the flowers were mixed with old moss, vintage candles and lots of mismatched vintage glasses that belonged to Rosie’s late grandma. To finish the look Rosie had a twinkly canopy of fairy lights that stretched the length of the table.
We chose a slightly Victorian style for the outfits and the headpiece was designed using twigs and moss for a “woodland vibe”.
The makeup was chosen to create a dramatic look along with the hair to keep within a Mad Hatter theme.
All together our amazing team of people created a beautiful woodland wonderland to inspire peoples imaginations.
