With the prolific reach of social media, we are seeing the reach of new trends spread through every industry – from fashion to architecture, home décor to fine dining and weddings. One thing for certain in S/S 18/19 and perhaps even more so in F/W 19, is that Minimalism is IN. A contemporary update on the 1990’s trend (Armani, Jil Sander & Yamamoto, were the guru of the years) where pale colours and androgynous tailoring highlight the classic beauty of simplicity.

After (too) many years of wedding shows with the distorted concept that luxury means an abundance of decoration, we are now looking toward and (forward to) a Minimalist direction for wedding season 2019/20. Get ready to embrace the natural elegance of the simple things in life.
Minimalism is the new Luxury!
New inspiration is here – outlined by nude colours, simple shapes, natural materials and dried flowers and leaves.
We’ve officially found the perfect venue in Phuket to manifest our vision: The Aquila Oceanfront Luxury Villa with its contemporary beauty and breath-taking view.
One of the most talented Fine Art Film Photographers, Sheri McMahon, is with us on this mission. Together with the six-star Phuket experience in terms of partners and suppliers, such as IAM Flower and Acqua Restaurant, we created something new, sophisticated and memorable with this photoshoot.
It was the perfect moment to express ourselves with new ideas and trends.
We created an asymmetric “dried but not forgotten” altar using ivory roses, Phalaenopsis orchids, pampas grass and dried palm leaves that were slightly brass painted.
A gorgeous mix of modern décor, vintage tableware and layered fabrics with hints of gold and brass created a sophisticated table-scape overlooking the ocean.
The bridal gown and accessories were carefully considered and imported from Australia. Many details were meticulously crafted for this project, such as the beautiful handwritten calligraphy invitation suite and silk ribbons.
A particularly striking feature of this masterpiece was the newly arrived Gold Chameleon chairs. This fresh feature was a standout accompaniment to the nude palette that is sure to appeal to the stylish couple.
