We fell in love with our wedding venue when we visited, it is such a beautiful location which suited our informal style, but was still a grand and beautiful setting for the occasion. When we saw the huge window inside the barn overlooking the nature reserve we fell in love with the view and knew we wanted to get married in that spot.

I loved the figure-flattering lacy top of my dress and the flowing tulle and train. I was looking for a Boho style wedding dress and this one just made me feel amazing. I also loved that it was ivory with champagne underlay rather than pure white as it complimented my skin tone better.
My dad walked me up the aisle which was so special. He looked really smart in a custom made navy suit that he got in Thailand.
Louise and Aaron played a beautiful acoustic version of “I can’t help falling I love with you” by Elvis for us to walk down the aisle.
The most memorable moment of the wedding for me was walking up the aisle with my Dad, seeing all our friends and family gathered and Grant smiling at the end. My Dad said he wouldn’t cry but about halfway up the aisle I saw he was welling up and it started me off with the crying too!
We met through our work touch rugby team, Grant was captain and I was a new recruit. Our relationship has bloomed over our shared love for the sport and we both still play together now.
When planning our wedding we decided that we didn’t want a formal venue and wanted the day to be a fun celebration with our friends and family. The overall theme of the day was a British summer festival with south African elements mixed in to reflect both of our heritages…
We included south African touches throughout including gold African animal table centres and table plan, protea flowers in the bouquet and head table arrangements, and animal print napkins as final touches and made the day extra personal.
We didn’t have a specific colour scheme but made sure it was bright and colourful, with lots of gold and green elements.
Our wedding photographer Greg was so lovely and worked tirelessly all day staying right to the end. We loved his photography style, so relaxed and colourful! It was the colours that really drew us to him as we love colour and sunshine.

I’m noticing a big rise in these SUPER colourful weddings lately! I’m all for it and I’m gonna get a shirt to match. :)
Definitely! I do enjoy shooting a colourful wedding, I think all weddings should be filled with colour! Look at those bridal bouquets… They’re stunning! Lovely set of photographs.
