Our wedding colours were burgundy and black, accented with wooden details and lots of greenery. These colours do not have any deeper meaning, we just really liked them and the way they go together. It was also easy to pull that set of colours through the whole wedding, giving it more visual identity.

Beautiful Burgundy, Black, Wood & Greenery Inspired Wedding: Swapna & Aleksandar
My dress was called Orma, by the brand Pronovias, and was bought in a small wedding boutique. When I tried it on, it just felt like The One. It was so comfortable and light and I loved the plunging back. The dress looked like it was made just for me.
Our photographers were Katja & Simon and it was Luka & Ben that suggested them to us, among other photographers. This probably was the easiest of all the decisions we had to make – we immediately loved their pictures and their approach to weddings, at least as much as we could tell from their website.
When shooting, Katja & Simon at the same time remain very close and give you tons of space; they are always in the right spot, catching all the precious moments – but they are never invasive. This beautiful balance can be spotted in all their work. We loved to have them around us.
The decoration was inspired by the venue (Luka & Ben did that amazing job), a bit by Tuscany, and with a slight vintage feel. But no, there was no particular theme.
Black candles, golden chandeliers, golden base plates and black cloth napkins were used; since we chose not to have table cloths, the wooden tables were part of the decoration – and the objects on the table received a decorative note themselves (such as the black napkins – usually, napkins are easily overseen, but not on our wedding). And since the dinner was outside, the building itself served as decoration.
If we could impart any words of wisdom… Set priorities, know what you want and keep your budget in mind. Book a wedding planner and let these guys do their work. If you think you can do it all by yourself – you really can‘t, especially if you do not know the country and its administration that well. If it is a question of money: Better save on the flowers.
What a gorgeous wedding this was! Thanks so much to the happy couple and all the fab suppliers below for sharing this on the wtw blog.
