Autumn Micro Wedding in Devon with Burgundy Colour Scheme
Our Story
After our big autumn wedding for over 100 people was cancelled due to Covid wedding restrictions, we decided to have a smaller micro wedding and my sister found this venue down in Devon which provides the whole package in a beautiful location and it was perfect.

The Dress
I wanted to have sleeves and lace somewhere on my wedding dress and many Rosa Clara dresses have both. They have so many lovely dresses at Rosa Clara so I was really spoilt for choice there.
The Ceremony
My father walked me down the aisle to Cavatina by Stanley Myers and John Williams.
The Flowers
Amanda Randell supplied all the flowers. We had a burgundy theme and so she used this colour and then other colours to compliment this. We also had some white lisianthus in memory of my uncle. Amanda took our preferences and came up with some wonderful bouquets and buttonholes which we absolutely loved.
The Decor
Nicola at Lower Grenofen arranged all of the decor which was amazing – she made the venue look beautiful. We supplied the napkin bundles with menu, foliage etc to complement our burgundy autumn theme.
The Cake
Harrie Kivell from Bootoagoose supplied the cake. It looked fantastic and tasted amazing. She was great as one of our guests is gluten-free and so she did the top layer gluten-free and the bottom layer was normal which worked so well.
The Photographer
Our wedding photographer Clare Kinchin was incredible. Neither of us enjoys being in front of the camera but Clare made us feel so at ease and we, and all of our guests, absolutely loved her. She took many wonderful shots and sent through our album so quickly so we could look through the photos on our honeymoon. We could not recommend her more.
Our Advice
We absolutely loved having a small wedding and couldn’t recommend it more – it was personal, intimate and relaxed and we loved every second. My sister did a lot of research into small weddings, particularly where the whole package is offered and found that there are surprisingly few places that fit that bill. We did a lot of research on Pinterest once we had secured Ever After as our venue.
Such a heartwaming wedding story in times like these. Congrats Pippa and Theo!

Burgundy can be an overwhelming in a wedding style but this was intertwined so subtly here, its stunning.
