Tipi Wedding Inspiration: Romantic, boho, festival vibes at Henshaw Farm
At Henhaw Farm organised by Gemma of Vintage Gems China Hire – the inspiration for this shoot came from the beautiful, relatively unknown venue and its simply stunning views of the rolling Surrey countryside. They wanted to show off the potential of this hidden gem filling it with all of the romantic, festival and boho vibes!
With all of the current restrictions in place and the challenges which that brings to a wedding, the team wanted to take full advantage of the outdoor space and show off what can realistically, yet incredibly be achieved.

Inspiration for the day full of fun.
Utilising the blank canvas of the farmland venue filling it with of a huge naked tipi structure from Canvas & Light, a smaller tipi and open-air relaxed sofa seating areas with a colour palette using mustard, blush pinks, deep wine and beige.
The smaller Nimbus tipi was set up as the perfect space for the bride and bridesmaids to be pampered and made over, with hair and make-up and gave them somewhere to change into the beautiful dresses from Bella May Bridal and 2-piece outfits from Matchimony.
The setup
The area of Henhaw Farm used was divided by the 2 huge oak trees as a central reference and to the right the vision was all things daytime. The ceremony area framing the already stunning views with a wooden hexagon backdrop from Vintage Gems China and prop hire was built upon with a striking floral centrepiece, macrame, skull & antlers and an aisle carpeted with beautiful vintage rugs.
An area to entertain the children (and adults alike) was populated with lawn games, from Bell & Bell Events, the all-important bar from Botanical Bubbles Mobile Bar and plentiful supplies of fresh stone baked pizza by The Land Doughver.
What’s a farmland venue without some good old hay bale seating areas, adorned with gorgeous throws?! Perfect for socialising and relaxing whilst taking in the beauty of the day.
Then to the left, the vision was all things into the evening…
The 10ft naked tipi structure with its very own glitter ball was decorated living room style with sofa seating areas and all the twinkles of fairy lights. The vintage campervan by Vintage Camperbooths stood nearby and ready and waiting with its fun fun fun glitter bar and photo props. The whole area of the field was dressed with more props and seating, backed by a stunning sequin wall and neon lights.
Vintage crockery from Vintage Gems Hire adorned the formal dining table, ready for drinking champagne from teacups. A large grazing platter from Connie & Cooper covered the low-level Moroccan table, laid out for more casual snacking and chatting.
There was even a gorgeous dog, Pudding, sure to put a smile on anyone’s face with her little ‘ I loved her first’ sign, gently hanging round her neck along with her real flower necklace.
Watching the sun setting over the rolling scenery behind the ceremony area and the moon appearing – almost as if part of the styling – above the naked tipi with all of the twinkling fairy lights, was truly magical.
