Fall In Love Story
Laura came to see us with a photograph of her grandmother on the day of her wedding. She grew up with the memory of her grandmother who was the sweetest and most caring person, but also the strongest. During Laura’s childhood, her mother would tell her stories of all the challenges her grandmother overcame during the beginning of the XX century in Spain. A strong woman who raised six children all by herself after her husband had died.
In the loving memory of her grandmother, Laura wished to have a wedding with an old vintage vibe but at the same time with a fun and modern twist that would reflect her Spanish heritage.
Old Vintage, Yet Modern
The colour palette was studied to reflect the personality of the bride. An arrangement of oranges and earth tones that combine with the autumn colours of the trees in the castle’s park, and a touch of fuchsia to enliven and give that carefree touch that Laura wanted, suggesting her Mediterranean origins.
For a modern twist, the handmade ceramic dinnerware in earth tones from Unomi was chosen for the wedding table, crowned by the plexiglass stationery of Mary Events Designer.
Medieval Fortress
The location for the wedding was a castle with an interesting history. A medieval fortress transformed during the XVIII century into a luxurious villa. Collegno castle has been the residence of the Guidobono Cavalchini family ever since.
The dress of vintage inspiration was made with a geometrical lace in a champagne colour, skirt and ruffles with plumetis tulle. A beautiful creation by Cecilia Gerosa Atelier.
Cake & Crowns
The headpiece highlighted the old vibe that Laura was looking for. Cristina from Cristina Signorina creates crowns and hair clips with a technique used since olden times in Spain. Small orange blossoms made from wax represented the purity of the bride on the wedding day.
To complete and reflect the fun and carefree personality of the bride, the cake made by Spanish cake designer Dewi from Sweet Wild Apples was the perfect mix of elegant, modern and colourful. A three-tiered buttercream cake with gold leaf and wafer paper details.
Elegant, Modern & Colourful
The beautiful flower bouquet from Helianthus Flowerlab gave that colourful touch to the bride ensemble, reminding us of her Spanish heritage. A mix of dried and fresh flowers apparently disordered but instead every element contributes to the levity and elegance of the composition.
