Floral, Fun & Colourful Garden Wedding
‘Less is more’ was Eve and Jonathan’s wedding day theme. It was a French countryside-style wedding with a mix of classic and modern touches. The stunning floral arrangements were inspired by LoveShackFancy and were a unique twist on this garden wedding with fun punches of pink with more subdued blue tones. Eve wore a gorgeous, simple thin-strapped dress and held a small, timeless Lily of the Valley bouquet. The bridesmaids sported mismatched floral-printed dresses to add to the summery vibe. Mismatched plates, cutlery, and glassware decorated the reception tables, and flowers and lanterns emphasized the beautiful countryside. There was a natural and easy tone throughout the day, and the celebration ended with ice cream treats and dancing late into the night.
Simple Wedding Dress
I wore a very simple wedding dress from Halfpenny London, it was perfect for our less-is-more approach to the wedding.
Fun Florals
LoveShackFancy inspired the florals. It was a unique twist on a garden wedding with fun punches of pink with more subdued blue tones. Wicker baskets of flowers lined the walkway to the tent.
Jewish Ceremony
Both my parents walked me down the aisle, which is traditional for Jewish ceremonies.
Most Memorable Moments
Getting ready was so easy and fun. I had my two sisters and two best friends in my childhood home getting dolled up. We had great music and in the background, the florists and caterer were working tirelessly to set up a dreamy venue in my backyard! I also loved running down the aisle with Jon, knowing all our patience and planning had paid off, and all we had ahead was a night of celebrating with our closest friends and families.
Wedding Theme
We originally wanted a very chic French countryside-type wedding. Less is more approach with a mix of classic and modern. Our floral inspiration came from LoveShackFancy. It ultimately ended up being a unique twist on this garden wedding with fun punches of pink with more subdued blue tones.
Wedding Decor
I loved the table settings. We used mix-matched vintage plates, brass cutlery and blue glassware. The wooden tables allowed all of this to pop and the way the flowers framed each setting was beautiful. I also loved the pathway to the reception tent. It was lined with gorgeous flowers and lanterns.
Words of Wisdom
Don’t sweat the small stuff. Things will go wrong. It really doesn’t matter. Our caterer ran out of tequila mid-party. Guess what – someone ran out and got some more. Nothing is perfect and the whole party is really about celebrating your love with your family and friends. Weddings are gorgeous and comparing is natural but at the end of the day, so many types of weddings are beautiful and each one is special in its unique way because they are each celebrating a distinct couple!
I’m loving this fresh and fun garden wedding. The florals are playful and match perfectly with the less is more wedding theme.
