Beautiful Boho Beachy Wedding by the Sea: Bethan & Stuey

I lived in Australia for a while and wanted our wedding to have the relaxed, beach feeling it would have been over there, but in the UK (the weather was VERY kind to us).

We grew up with incredible sailing trips around the world, so we wanted to incorporate that and our love for the sea.

Photography

Martin Dabek was our wonderful wedding photographer. The best photographer around – he captures the moments and memories so perfectly, whilst providing a stress-free, fun environment!

Australian Dress Designer

My wedding dress was called Aryn by Madi Lane. I always knew I wanted an Australian Designer, I loved the lace, how relaxed and comfy the dress was and how well it fit my wedding theme (boho/beachy).

Wedding Flowers

I really wanted a romantic, exotic feel with a large flower arch full of VIP roses and greenery. I collected pampas grass from our holiday home garden where I have lovely memories with my grandparents in Cornwall to include and wanted the nod to Scotland where Stuey and I first lived together with the thistles.

Memorable Moments

My Dad walked me down the aisle to ‘Here Comes the Sun’ – the SYML version. One of the most memorable moments of the day was saying our vows to each other.

Beachy Centrepieces

For wedding table centrepieces I collected sand from all around the world to go in cylinder vases with candles. I had beautiful sea glass table names of the islands we’d visited – they were made by a friend, the incredible Alison (Cadgwithglass). We also had driftwood holders made by myself and dad.

Sea-Inspired Cake

We had a three-tier cake, the top two layers were white with a rushy effect and the bottom was white with a marbly blue to make it look like the sea. The cake was decorated with coral (from Etsy) and oysters collected from a restaurant in Edinburgh that we went to the first weekend we moved in together.

I love a good beach wedding, don’t you? Huge congrats to Bethan & Stuey!
