A Beba’s Closet Bride For A Country Colours Inspired Wedding: Pilar & Sergei

Today’s wedding pretty is inspired by the sun-bleached colours of the Spanish countryside and Rioja fields in summer.

The bride wore a modern and beautiful gown adorned with gorgeous ruffles by one of my fave wedding dress designer Beba’s Closet.

Pilar & Sergei make a super sweet couple and this lovely wedding is not one to be missed.

We married in La Rioja, Spain at Tío Simón. We love everything about the countryside, so this wedding venue was just perfect.

I had two wedding dresses by Beba’s Closet. A short pre-wedding dress with ruffled sleeves and also a long wedding gown with ruffles on the back.

I also wore a stunning headpiece by Cocoluco and a pair of vintage earrings from my grandmother.

The ceremony was at Santa María Cathedral in Calahorra, La Rioja, Spain.

We met when we were teenagers in Sergio’s village’s fiesta. He was very shy, so it wasn’t till 10 years later, again at the village’s fiesta, that a friend of his asked me: “Have you met this cute guy yet?”.

Sergio asked me to marry him at Calahorra Marsh. The place was special to us because we walked around there in on one of our first ever dates. On that day, we knew we wanted to be together forever.

Ángeles Silvestre our wedding planner made a wonderful seating plan with arrows and monitored everything on our wedding day. Sergio, my friend Marta (@ohmacedonia) and I planned the wedding together. They are all very good with handicrafts, I’m am a disaster.

Our wedding cake was a deer topper and our first dance was a song by Los Piratas.

Our whole wedding was inspired by the countryside.  Sergio often hunts and loves everything related to the countryside, so the colours were those of the fields.

For wedding favours, we had tobacco and espadrilles!

Our wedding photographer Sara Lobla is a natural wedding photographer and captured every moment of our day with great skill.

I for one, am loving this countryside inspired wedding in Rioja Spain – the colours of the fields as wedding inspiration are so so lovely.
