Fairy Folklore: Styled Wedding Inspiration.
Hey ladies, are you looking for magical wedding inspiration? In the following shoot our naughty nymph bride flutters around a secret garden looking to seduce a man into marriage! Will she succeed?
The inspiration is a fairy tale wedding, so Big Little Things wanted to create this quite literally.
Our photographer, Meg Hawkins chased our very own nymph around a magical countryside gardens. The fairy-Esq. Catriona who modelled the bespoke gown made by new British designer Jodie Perrin owner of Sacred Realm.
Jodie used lightweight tulle and Chantilly lace to make a whimsical dress, and hair and make-up styled by the wonderful Kassi Ellis MUA completed our elfin bridal look.
The elfin queen crown, bouquet and green man cake were created by us – Big Little Things. We specialise in hand-crafting bespoke pieces and with folklore inspiration and the fairy queen as our muse we designed and brought to life a Swarovski crystal crown featuring a colour palette of sapphire, amethyst and emerald jewels.
We wanted the bouquet to have a fresh ‘just picked’ look and to use bright tangerine tango in the colour icing to give the unusual cake a very ‘of the now’ colour scheme.
I love the autumnal tones used in the styling and the bridal corset definitely gives our model a little bit of *ahem* va va voom! I’m also a little disappointed that she didn’t find her man…
