I love sharing exciting new finds with you guys! And I do believe you’re going to love this post. Cute and Cool. Alternative Bridesmaid Dresses by Sohomode.
It’s become increasingly popular for fashion conscious brides to seek out and select alternatives to the traditional bridesmaid dress. And 2013 is going to see this trend explode, with even more brides choosing to mix and match their maids than ever before. I’ve totally fallen in love with these cute and quirky vintage tea dresses, simply choose a look to suit each of your maids individuality and you’ll be the best bride ever in the whole wide world, well at least in their eyes anyway.
Mix and match from the pretty vintage fabric collection or choose from the custom collection.
The 50s inspired tea dresses come in 3 different finishes… traditional, non-capped or low scooped.
Measure up your maids (there are instructions on the site). Place your order and wait around 8 weeks.
Recognise this super cute image? It’s Bailie and her lovely bridesmaids from Preston and Bailie’s creative, backyard hand-fasting wedding.
You can also pick out dresses for your flower girls. Now I’m totally jealous… (I always wanted flower girls)
and there are also skinny ties for your groomsmen… schweeeet!
Louise Hedley is the designer behind these gorgeously different bridesmaid dresses. She grew up in the UK and later relocated to America where she now lives in New York. She’s always had a passion for vintage clothing and is happiest when creating. One of her biggest pleasures about designing these dresses is that they then become a part of your special day!
So what do you think? Crazy cute or what? Adorable dressed up with sweet little vintage heels or super cool dressed down with cowboy boots or sneakers.
I’m very excited to also tell you that lovely UK brides can purchase these Sohomode bridesmaid dresses on-line and they’ll ship to the UK. Hurray!

These are really gorgeous – fun, will suit all ages and a bit different – I hope to shoot some weddings with bridesmaids wearing these!
This is wonderful, but where are the websites to purchase the dresses! I want my girls to wear the tea cup floral dresses ?
Sorry about that Janae – and thanks for pointing out the links aren’t working – I have now updated them and can purchase from here
