Happy Easter everybody! What a fantastic weekend to say I do huh? I’ve always associated Easter with fun family get togethers and getting married over a spring bank holiday is just the ultimate family get-together right?
Imagine taking advantage of the extra long weekend! If you’ve ever contemplated setting the date for an Easter wedding, this styled shoot might just sway you into pulling off an ultra spring-like big day.
This shoot is what happened when a bunch of talented Essex wedding suppliers came together to show us all what they can do. They chose to style an Easter inspired, spring garden wedding shoot and the results are ridiculously cute!
Imagine an Easter egg hunt with the little ones on the morning of your big day. This is how it might go. Be warned. Super cute pics alert ;)
Styled by Ellen & Elizabeth from Vintage Flair, the main inspiration was to combine spring garden with vintage glamour and to add a sense of fun – all with the challenge of using only local suppliers. The main colours we wanted to incorporate were gold and pink – our two favourites!
The wonderful wedding venue Baddow Park, in Chelmsford, was the ideal setting with its huge lawn and well maintained woodland area and perfect enticing path leading you through the trees.
Hair and Make up was very much an elegant spring look, produced by Lisa Alger of Essex Hair Beauty, another regional winner of the 2014 Wedding industry awards 2014.
The vintage tableware, linen and props were all supplied by Vintage Flair too We hire a premium collection of beautiful vintage items, all of which have a beautiful and elegant, gold gilt edging.
All floral designs, including the flower wand held by Emilia, were supplied by Lily & May of Brentwood, regional winner of the 2014 Wedding industry awards 2014.
The pretty vintage inspired stationery was supplied by Russet and Gray. They stock such a lovely range of truly English designs.
Our gorgeous model Marie, wore Kitty & Dulcie ‘Crazy for You’ bridal gown. An amazing steal at just £365.
Vintage Flair also supplied the wedding cake. Pink ombre sponge with rose scented buttercream and a gold finish.
The wonderful selection of images were captured by the talented Kerrie Mitchell, who certainly has an eye for detail.
The wood set the scene for our easter egg hunt. Our model changed into a pair of bright pink wellies (Think Pink Wellies – sold to raise money for breast cancer research) and held a large basket filled with all the yummy eggs.
The youngest members of Vintage Flair, Jack and Emilia took no persuading to join in once they were given the green light to ‘make tea’ and collect chocolate eggs.
Thoroughly enjoying the egg hunt they devoured their finds in the cute pink tepee – a perfect wedding addition to keep the little ones entertained.
Hooooow cute is this shoot! I’m loving everything about it. Thank you so much to all for sharing your gorgeous work with the WTW blog.
