Rebecca Street is a British designer, directing her own ‘maison’ as well as working alongside international designers. Together with a collaboration for London’s premier boutique Browns ‘Rebecca Street for Browns’, Rebecca has also supplied to the bridal boutique ‘Browns Bride’.

This season, Rebecca Street continues to expand on the house’s signature designs. This new concept ‘Love is All’ will offer affordable luxury bridal wear, exclusively online. With prices between £500 and £1000, every leading lady can experience ‘haute couture’ on their big day.

As Rebecca enthuses; ‘There seems to be a gap between bespoke designer dresses and manufactured gowns that I’m really inspired to fill; by drawing on my experience in both the international designer market and luxury bespoke bridal, I’m excited to be offering a capsule collection of more affordable designer dresses. Using clever cuts and interesting fabrics, we’re making here in the UK wherever possible, therefore sustainably and right under our noses!

Understandably many UK brides cannot or simply choose not to afford designer silk bridal gowns, yet of course still want to look stunning. I completely understand this and those women have inspired this new collection. By offering the dresses exclusively online, we can pass on the benefits of lower overheads for all to enjoy and I truly hope most brides will find something they love in this collection.’

Fresh floral designs evolve with traditional tonal embroideries, laser cut daisies and the use of delicate applique. With the desire to offer a sense of bespoke, each fairy tale begins with swatches of the selected gowns being sent to the leading lady. The bride will still be able to touch and feel the fabrics, consider the colourway, and discuss her decisions before ordering her dream dress online. Rebecca Street will guide the bride through the process of choosing the correct size for her proportions and how best to adjust the selected style. Thus ensuring the wedding dress fits perfectly on the big day! The aim is to give a highly personal service, without a bride even having to leave home!

Rebecca will send each bride a measurement chart and advise her to have herself measured (preferably by a professional seamstress). That will enable Rebecca to assess the best size for each individual bride. Rebecca will also advise the seamstress on how to best amend the dress to fit, if required. That way, since each dress is made to order, it will feel like a bespoke service.

Additionally, with trickier fits, Rebecca is offering a bespoke service for a fee, which will make the proportions work much better (eg if you are pear shaped / big busted / short or long body etc.)

Also offered are personal fittings via Skype, with the seamstress present, once the dress arrives. There is a fee, but it may give the bride both reassurance and a sense of pampering.
