Pretty Pastel Alice In Wonderland Inspired Wedding: Becki & Nick

Today’s pretty pastel loveliness comes courtsey of Rachel Joyce Photography. She captured Becki & Nick’s pastel perfect, mad hatter’s tea party wedding!

Inspired by Alice in Wonderland, pastel hues and vintage decor. Beckie pulled together a themed wedding without going overboard. More pretty than quirky – this Alice themed wedding is bound to inspire any AIW lovers!

My mum actually chose my wedding dress. After trying around 10 that I liked I wasn’t in love with any of them. I had dismissed lace altogether until my mum made me try it on. Everyone was in tears so I knew it was the one!

Wy favourite film is Alice in wonderland it’s so weird and wonderful. I also love anything floral, pastel and vintage so this was naturally my inspiration for our wedding.

My bridesmaids wore pretty dresses in lemon, mint, blue, pink, lilac and champagne.

Nick asked me to marry him on love lock bridge in Paris on Valentine’s Day – textbook.

Our wedding day was our 3 year anniversary of being together!

Rachel Joyce & her assistant were our wedding photographers. Amazing! They made the day effortless – I have beautiful wedding photos that I will treasure forever.

I sourced all the vintage tea cups to fit in with the mad hatters tea party theme. Our wedding favours were glass potion bottles filled with either Sourz shots or sweets.

My wedding cake tiers were chocolate, lemon and red velvet and the outside had beautiful cascading pastel flowers to match the bridesmaid dresses and the bridal bouquet.

If I could pass on any advice I would say…

Go to bed before midnight! Processo is great for calming nerves but hold off until at least an hour before you walk down the aisle, I was having so much I couldn’t eat my wedding breakfast!

A lot of people may let you down along the way whether it’s months before or on the day, don’t let it faze you, be grateful for the ones that are there for on your special day.

Don’t worry if things don’t go exactly to plan, it’s about you and your new husband, grab him and forget about it on the dance floor!

Such a pretty as a picture pastel wedding. Love!
