Victoriana-esque Bridal & Wedding Accessories: Extra Special Touch

Hello lovelies, it always gives me so much pleasure to introduce to you wedding vendors who are fabulously talented and totally passionate about their creations – and today’s wedding supplier is certainly no exception…

Heidi from Extra Special Touch uses gorgeous Nottingham lace and pretty embroidery techniques to create all those beautiful finishing touches for your wedding.

I’m particularly enamoured with her stylish embroidered monogram napkins which make beautiful and chic additions to any wedding table-scape.

For my own wedding in 2008, I made all my own stationery, monogrammed napkins, machine embroidered flower boutonniere for the men, my own machine embroidered flower and vintage crystal headpiece.

I enjoyed making it all so much; I set up my business part time to making wedding accessories for friends and family in 2009.

With my love for period fashions and machine embroidery, I set up my little business, Extra Special Touch in 2009, to make Victoriana-esque bridal and wedding accessories.

My collection of vintage inspired monogram wedding gifts and bridal accessories are inspired by traditional ladies accessories and are all made from natural fabrics such as silk, linen and cotton.

I’ve always been a collector of old embroidery, antique lace, trimmings and buttons, so I was inspired to use my pretties and make bridal garters and bags, and my “Something Old Bridal Bag” range was created.

Orders are made in my home sewing studio in Nottingham.

I have always loved vintage, from being 16 years old and wearing 1950’s dresses with DM boots! I like to design wedding and bridal accessories which can be used in modern weddings, with a nod to vintage style.

Natural fibers (silk, cotton and linen), traditional monograms and beautiful embroidery. My garters are made from traditional cotton lace and silk ribbons – and my hankies have cotton Nottingham lace edging… no nylon lace allowed!
