Uber, uber excited to share this alternative little love shoot with you all today. The photographer who captured these cool images is an endearingly modest talent and doesn’t even realise how good she is, I LOVE her work!
The South Bank in London was an apt location for this quirky little love fest. I love the urban, retro vibe it’s got going on! Hayley + Aaron {our incredibly photogenic couple} ooze retro cool and obviously adore each other. Their ease and sense of fun in front of the camera {and with each other} is just waaaay too cute! Imagine their wedding pics… I can’t wait, can you?!!
Carla shares the story of this adorably loved up couple and all I can say is…Sweetest. proposal. ever.

Hayley and Aaron won the engagement shoot competition I ran at the Alternative Wedding Fair in January at the Piccadilly Institute.
The engagement shoot took place on the South Bank. Hayley told me before the shoot that they love making each other laugh, so I just let them joke and banter which I think resulted in their personalities and love for each other come across in the photos.
In Hayley’s sweet words:
“We decided to marry before he actually proposed, but when he did propose he kicked me out of the house first {which I moaned about and then felt guilty}. Aaron lit hundreds of candles in the bathroom and bedroom and placed fresh rose petals in the bath before pouring me a glass of wine. Whilst I was soaking he laid a trail of rose petals down the stairs and into the dining room… he was waiting for me on one knee with a bottle of champagne and had spelt out ‘marry me’ with tea lights!!”
What an amazing engagement shoot huh? Love it!! Congratulation Hayley + Aaron, you make one seriously cute couple.
