Oh Em Gee ladies *talks in such a high pitched voice that only whales could possibly hear* Today’s post is pretty, pretty, PRETTY! My eyes are almost blinded by how gorgeously wonderful, rustic and whimsical this styled bridal shoot is…
The dress is heaven sent, the pagoda is too cute for words and well the general styling is to DIE for! Loving the pops of colour in the earthy colour scheme and the pink depression glass centerpiece… whoa! I’m seriously swooning!
And to top it all off, this has all been captured so beautifully by talented photographer Alea Bebenek who also, get this, designed and made the flippin’ dress! Some people are just waaaay too talented ;)
We chose to shoot on Longview Mansion’s grounds, they have lots of rustic structures we could work with, along with the great overgrown grass.
The pergola was a great accent location, situated in front of the water for something a little different.
With the vision I had for the shoot, I just couldn’t find a dress that matched the feeling of what we were trying to convey, so I made the dress to capture the very whimsical direction we were headed for and used color in the dress inspired by the latest fashion trend of using color in bridal.
I made the dress to feel whimsical. Bought a great amount of tulle and got to work. I wanted the dress to feel effortless but romantic almost like from a fantasy.
The florist used her great-grandmother’s amazing pink antique depression glass as centerpieces and accents to the flowers and cake.
The cake decorator used a brush-like texture on the buttercream to give it a nest-like look.
The furniture rentals used were great rustic pieces like old wooden crates, old dress trunks, rusted keys and this great wide bottom over-sized chair that looks like it came straight from the set of Alice and Wonderland.
If you recognise Alea Lovely’s beautiful photographic style you may have seen this beautiful small and intimate loft style wedding with pretty black accents… And if not, you must check it out!
Lots of Love
