Anthropologie Inspired: Gallery Wedding | Real Wedding
It’s another day and another real wedding on the want that wedding blog :))) This time I’m sharing the lovely Jewish Wedding of Phoebe and Dustin. Phoebe and Dustin were very excited to have their Jewish Ceremony in the raw space of Gallery 1028. Phoebe had a very strong desire for an earthy and natural design and told her stylist that if it felt like an Anthropologie store without the clothes in, she’d be a very happy bride indeed! Let’s here a little more about their big day.
I’m a teacher and Dustin proposed the Friday of my Spring Break. He tricked me into thinking we had a nice dinner date with a few of our friends, but as soon as I was all dressed up he dropped to a knee and proposed.
5 minutes later our entire family walked in the door… even a few who had flown in from LA & NYC. I was completely surprised by the engagement, and that everyone was there. I really didn’t see it coming. But, even better, we were all packed up to go to Boston for my spring break… or so I thought.
When we woke up in the morning and got to the airport, he told me we were going to London. We spent a week there, and it was the best week of our lives!
My bridal dress was by Nicole Miller, I loved how comfortable it felt! When I tried it on, I danced around the fitting room and knew it was ‘the one’!
We met with Tom Kehoe from Kehoe Designs a few times. The first time, he immediately understood the feeling I wanted – I told him that if I could get married in an Anthropologie store without the clothes I would! His design truly exceeded my expectations! The decor was absolutely perfect and I wouldn’t have changed a thing.
My brothers and their significant others, as well as Dustin’s brother and wife and Dustin and his parents walked down the aisle to “Ooh La La” by the Faces and I walked down with my parents to “Falling Slowly” from the Once soundtrack (The Swell Season)
Our wedding photographer, Chad Husar – did an amazing job! He made the process very natural and really understood the look we were going for.
Our first dance was to Ho Hey by the Lumineers. We loved the lyrics and that it was upbeat.
If I could impart any words of wisdom to future brides I would say, ‘Enjoy the day/night! Make sure to take a minute to stand back and watch the wedding and try to be a guest’.
I love the idea of having a blank gallery space to design, how would you style yours?
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely wedding with us guys. Wishing you all the love and happiness in your marriage!
Feel free to leave this lovely couple some blog lovin’…
