Annie and Matt married on a a rainy day in April and although this added to the unique atmosphere of their day they decided to organise a Rock The Dress Shoot for when the weather was a little kinder… Their photographers Michael and Andrea from Bohemian Weddings share the experience of the day.
Located in a hidden farm location deep in the Hertfordshire countryside, the day was magical, the weather was beautiful and the couple in a very happy mood.
On top of all that they decided to bring the best props from their home and wedding day for a picnic.
We quickly realised there’s no ordinary photo-shoot with these two!
They brought their canvas bell tent, signs and bunting they made themselves for their wedding and homemade earl grey cupcakes to name a few!
As they had a vintage ice cream van at their wedding they wanted something equally retro so we arranged a VW campervan from a good friend.
We had so much fun taking these images and hope you enjoy them too.
Annie wore her original 1930s-style lace column dress by Mori Lee. Gorgeous! I’m loving the flower crown too.
So would you have a rock the dress shoot? Or maybe even a trash the dress shoot..? It’s something I’ve always wanted to do, shame my hubby HATES having his picture taken.
Thanks so much to Michael and Andrea from Bohemian Weddings for sharing these gorgeous images and congratulations to Annie and Matt, I’m so happy you had your sunny day shoot :) XxX
Lots of Love,

and remember… keep wanting!!
What a great idea! I really want to rock my frock, need to loose some weight first but a great idea to have my husband involved too!
You should do it! I would do it too if I could actually fit back in my dress ;) XxX
A rock the dress session is such a good idea- there’s so much pressure on your wedding day and it doesn’t always work out! Love this shoot, it’s absolutely adorable.
Thanks for your comment Amy :) Glad you love! XxX
