Stylish Australian Summer Wedding | Real Johanna Johnston Bride

Morning lovelies. I am so excited to share today’s real wedding with you as it features a real life Johanna Johnston bride!! If you remember I featured an article the other week excitedly telling you that Johanna Johnston has finally come to the UK. Woohoo! How exciting?

Jenna and Chris married in their native Australia on a pretty vineyard in the height of summer, and I must say… what a GORGEOUS couple. Jenna looks absolutely breathtaking in her Viva, JJ gown and Chris cuts a striking figure in his stylish black suit and skinny tie…

Chris proposed on the 11/11/11 after being together for 7 years and 8 months. Part of the proposal included Chris organising our husky, Koda to turn up to the place where he first told me he loved me wearing a shirt saying “Will you marry papa Burnsy?”

We opted for a variety of white flowers to keep the styling simple and classic – peonies were a must!

I fell in love with my Johanna Johnston dress the moment I saw it – I love the vintage look especially the lace sequin detailing.

I also wore a stunning Johanna Johnson headpiece and cuff!

We chose Sirromet Winery, Mt Cotton for our venue as this has always been a special place for us – we have celebrated many anniversaries and birthdays there.

My Dad walked me down the aisle to Marry Me, by Train.

 Walking down the aisle and seeing each other for the first time was very overwhelming.

We had personalised fans for the ceremony as our wedding was during summer. We also had a lolly buffet at the wedding for guests to help themselves to a variety of sweets including macarons, cake pops, mini cupcakes, etc.

For the styling of our wedding we used a mixture of natural fibres (hessian and twine), lace and tea light candles.

If I could impart any words of wisdom… Be as organised as early as possible. Book your venue as soon as you can and try not to let the little things stress you out – keep reminding yourself of what the day is about – to marry the love of your life.
