Being a bit of a soppy sausage, I love getting to know our engaged couples a bit better. The details of how they met, fell in love and of course, ‘the proposal’ never fail to make me come over all emotional. I guess that’s why I love sharing engagement shoots!
Today’s little love shoot has been captured wonderfully by Murray Clarke – a v. talented wedding photographer. The golden hour, as photographers call it, is such a spectacular time to take images, so it totally figures that I’m in love with this Sunset Woodland e-shoot featuring the soon-to-be-married Sam & Luke.
Let’s get to know them better…
How did you meet and fall in love?
We met through mutual friends and became friends for about 2-3 years before finally
getting into a relationship.
Funny facts:
Our parents have the same names.
We like all the opposite sweets and crisp flavours in selection packs, so share food perfectly!
The proposal
My dad passed away so Christmas was always difficult. Luke wrote a letter addressed to my dad and put it into our Christmas tree on Christmas Day.
It said that Luke wanted to stick to tradition and ask his permission and that he knows how much I love and miss him and this would mean the world to him. He then got down on 1 knee and asked me to marry him with the most perfect ring!
The marriage
March 28th at Clandon park in Guildford after a service in our local catholic parish church in Ashford Middlesex.
I knew it was love when…
Luke on Sam
She deserves to be happy, so it was when the time came when nothing else meant more to me than looking after her, keeping her safe & happy, then I knew Xx
Sam on Luke
I knew it was love when he cuddled me for the first time and I felt safe and like we fitted together perfectly.
A few words from Murray of Murray Clarke Photography…
‘To mark their engagement we headed to the beautiful Burnham Beeches in Berkshire for a romantic sunset shoot. The weather was fine with the sun shining which made for some stunning images’.
Oh wow! What a gorgeous set of images and WHAT a proposal. Top man points Luke!
Thanks to Murray Clarke Photography for sharing these beautiful images, and please, ladies and gents, do leave some love and congrats on the blog for our gorgeous couple, Sam & Luke.
