Such a beautiful beautiful real ITALIAN wedding to share with you all today. Cristina Rossi captured Wendy & Geremi’s Rustic Italian Garden Wedding just perfectly. Imagine getting married in your own family’s back garden! That’s exactly what Wendy & Geremi did.
I. am. just. down right obsessed with Wendy’s pretty rustic bridal style too. Her crotchet gloves look chic, chic, CHIC, and so sweet with her gorgeous lace gown, and I’m loving her rustic flower bouquet with the burlap wrap and simple wedding decor. Rustic wedding perfection!

We married in my grandmother’s garden in Fiano (To) Italy. Our garden was already the perfect place for an outdoor wedding ceremony like ours…
We only highlighted a few details like the old country water cistern, the wooden ladder in the old barn, the well, the door of the ‘old barn…
My wedding dress has always been in my head, I did a lot of research on the internet in the style that appealed to me, finding a line that made them very similar.
Initially I wanted to draw it and looked for a seamstress to recreate it for me, but unusually, I fell in love in the first bridal shop and the first dress I tried on! The line I found on the internet, and with the right changes and tweaks mirrored my model that I’d always wanted.
My brother walked me down the aisle…
One of our memorable moments was seeing all our loved ones around us in my grandparent’s garden. The sweet words read with such emotion by my little brother Cristian moved everyone.
Our wedding photographer Cristina is not only a great professional, but also a dear friend of the family, for me as the bride it has been an honor to have been photographed by her on my wedding day, she once had held me in her arms when I was just a few days old.
The photos Cristina took of us are all very special, never dull, from the play of light to the choice of locations, she always managed to make it look marvelous, even the most unlikely background. And with her fun personality, she managed to get rid of any veil of embarrassment that you may have in such special moments…
When we went to see the reception venue for the first time, Il ristorante ‘La Vià’ in Cavour, it made us feel like we entered another era, and went back in time, all its details stood out! We added our placeholder, the table plan, and printed table menus.
The table place cards were made of little log trees cut by us, we inserted the name of each wedding guest. For the table plan, since Cavour is the county of apples we opted to stay in theme and used apples with name tags skewered in them all laid on a bed of straw on a table.
We did the same with the name of our sweetheart table and centerpiece. We chose fruit to stay on topic.
The cake that we chose is the classic Italian of several tiers. Even with the cake we tried to recreate a rustic country theme, with inserts of ivy and fresh white rose petals. On top of the cake stood a statuette of newlyweds in a frame. We opted for a classic cake, not only to please everyone, but especially because we like custard, chocolate and sponge cake.
At the dancing of the reception there were some wonderful moments of happiness and light-heartedness. The whole day flew by, almost like it had been lived all in one breath…
If you could impart any words of wisdom to future brides to be, what would they be?
Enjoy every moment of the day to the full, be yourselves, have fun and embrace the emotions. Only this way can you truly have a wonderful memory of your wedding day.
Thank you so much to the gorgeous Wendy & Geremi, such a pretty rustic wedding don’t you agree? And stunning images from the lovely Cristina of Cristina Rossi Photography!!
