I’m loving the juxtaposition between the elements in today’s real wedding. The urban warehouse feel of the modern venue against the gorgeous rustic detailing. Perfection!
If you love modern minimalism, baby’s breath and burlap then you will love today’s featured wedding – Andrew and Taylor are such a lovely couple and the images from their wedding photographer Sherry O, are just gorgeous.

We married at The Pointe – we loved the hardwood, tall windows, and exposed beams! We also loved that we could have the ceremony on site – also in the atrium.
My wedding dress was from David’s Bridal – It felt flowy and comfortable! I wanted something that was easy to wear and this dress definitely was. I also loved the the little bit of color in the bodice.
The blue pin on my bouquet was an antique piece from my Grandmother. My earrings were from an Etsy shop (JacarandaDesigns) and the hair pins were from another Etsy shop (AmoreTreasure).
The rose pink bridesmaid dresses were also from David’s Bridal.
We ordered flowers from Sam’s Club and had a flower arranging party to do the centerpieces, bouquets, and boutonnieres!
One of the groomsmen played ‘Here Comes The Sun’ on his guitar as I walked down the aisle with my Dad Roger.
Andrew and I met when a mutual friend set us up. I didn’t know the setup was occurring until Andrew showed up at the bar my friend and I were at so it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise!
Andrew proposed about a year and a half into our relationship. We like to give each other experiences instead of presents so for Christmas he had planned this fun day downtown consisting of a visit to the museum, a massage, and then dinner at a hotel.
He surprised me after dinner by taking me upstairs to one of the suites, which he had covered in candles, and proposing! We then went back downstairs to get a glass of champagne to celebrate and were surprised by our families!
The most memorable part of our day was the ceremony for sure! I hadn’t seen Andrew before the ceremony so I was very excited to finally see him all dressed up and looking handsome!
The ceremony was a private one so it was very intimate and that really added to it for me.
We had ‘God Only Knows’ by the Beach Boys played when we exited the ceremony.
Our wedding photographer was Sherry O’ Miller of Sherry O Photography – she was fabulous and we highly recommend her!
We had handmade coasters as wedding favors. My uncle, Mark Wiegel, made the coasters and the wooden pieces for the cupcakes, he is very talented!
Our first dance was to ‘How Long Will I Love You’ – a cover version by Jon Boden, Sam Sweeney, and Ben Coleman.
If you could impart any words of wisdom to a future brides planning their wedding day, what would they be?
Don’t feel pressure to conform to wedding norms if they aren’t important to you!
There are certain traditions I cut out because they weren’t a priority for me and it made me less stressed for sure and kept our reception timeline more fluid.
