To celebrate the start of wedding season in Cape Town, and to showcase the beauty and diversity of the area, creative wedding photographer Adrian Shields gathered together talented wedding vendors and a model to capture a fun and vibrant bridal shoot.
A couple of weekends were spent visiting interesting areas with gorgeous model Keryn in tow, rocking a few wedding gowns by talented bridal designer Janita Toerien.
Love these images and loooove these beautiful, fun and vibrant locations… Enjoy!
The first stop was to the streets of Woodstock for a few images along Albert’s Street colourful houses. The wind was howling and caused chaos with my model Keryn’s hair but made for some wonderful natural laughing images.
Probably one of my favourite parts of the styled shoot was the images I captured at the stunning Bo-Kaap residential area of Cape Town, just below the infamous Table Mountain Reserve.
The bright colours of the buildings and the colourful nature of the ever tolerating residents makes this spot a definite stop on every tourists “places to visit” map.
Cosy bay is a beautiful hidden bay just below the Twelve Apostles Mountain Range, very popular for picnics, sundowners and photo opportunities.
This day was overcast and a little dull so it was refreshing in a way to have this little Cape Town gem all to ourselves for the hour we were there.
Thanks so much to Adrian Shields for sharing this fun Capetonian bridal shoot. Such pretty images – love the stunning Janita Toerien wedding gowns!
Are you planning a creative bridal shoot on the day of your wedding? Or perhaps a rock the frock shoot after the big day? Now that would be fun…
Great set of photos, I love the ones in the water .
