Today’s rosemary infused wedding is so inspirational. Our gorgeous bride & groom, Dejaneira & Patrizio had a down-to-earth yet super stylish rustic wedding that had an organic inspired potted herb ‘theme’.
Dejaneira looked sensational in her macrame and lace inspired Yolan Cris wedding gown – I love her look!
Today’s wonderful images were captured by White Wedding Photography and the words are by Dejaneira.
“Corte Rustica Borromeo” Oreno di Vimercate Monza (MB) was our wedding location!
We chose this beautiful location because despite being away from home it had the best style and atmosphere that we wanted for our wedding – a medieval court from the 1400s with gardens and woods.
All accessories Patrizio wore were chosen in the “Boutique Montezemolo”, his boutonniere coordinated with my wedding bouquet.
My amazing Yolan Cris wedding dress was made from macramé lace and lightweight fabric for the skirt that looked like a filmy gauze… I loved its retro charm!
I also wore a long veil edged with lace macrame similar to the one on the bodice of my dress.
I kept my accessories simple with just my wedding ring and hair decorated with the same flower from my bouquet of flowers – white berries and a branch of rosemary.
The bridesmaids wore dresses in a light blue style from Zara, they had no accessories in their hair just necklaces.
We planned and organised the whole wedding – sometimes it was hard, but we had to make sure that everything was exactly as we wanted for our day! Could become my job in the future … why not ?!
We wanted a wedding that reflected our taste, simple but effective, understated with rustic materials – we wanted very few colors that perfectly coordinated and was in line with the fall season we chose to marry in.

We chose potted herbs as the main decoration – for their rustic style. Rosemary was the main herb as we didn’t want little lavender colored flowers but a few white flowers instead ( wax ) we liked the snow berries and greenery which is our favorite colour as a couple. We also had decorative leaves that were in season ( eucalyptus , oak .. )
Our wedding cake was a fabulous autumn inspired design decorated with herbs.
I hand-made all of the wedding favors, bottles of glass with a branch of rosemary and lavender inside, decorated with lace and twine.
We used wooden fruit boxes painted white with ivory lace and string to decorate the venue, paper flags and cloth in light brown and ivory were used to style the old county style tables.
What were your most memorable wedding moments?
Wearing my wedding dress, walking down the aisle and setting my eyes on the face of my husband who was waiting at the altar.
If you could impart any words of wisdom to brides planning their big day?
Enjoy every single moment because the day will fly by and not to be angry with the unexpected!
Such an amazing wedding – loving the Yolan Cris wedding gown and the potted herb, rustic decor!
