We might be rapidly approaching summer but I can still find tons of inspiration in this beautiful autumn bridal shoot. It’s kinda Autumn meets Spring with it’s ultra romantic colour pallette of soft rose and pinks mixed in with the soft oranges, greys and berry.

I LOVE fall. Perhaps because I was born in October, so I like to think of myself as a fall-child.
The light, the colors, the atmosphere, everything about it is absolutely gorgeous. It’s strange because a lot of people dislike this season. “Everything is dying, dark and grey”, but I never saw it that way. I see a burst colours and energy, I see change, new opportunities and growth.
I have to admit I am not a big fan of the dark days that come with it all so and this was partly the inspiration for this shoot. I wanted to bring softness and light to slightly dim the bright colours (I am a soft palette lover!) and brighten up the darkness of the shorter days with light!
I love a bride that break the traditional rules and brings personality and self-expression to their wedding day, and this is how I came up with the look and feel of this bridal inspiration. This is for a romantic bride, who likes to do things differently and not afraid to be unique!
I love how Gwenda from The Vintage Floral Design Co. has translated my idea into her florals creations. The soft pinks mixed with the deeper reds created the perfect contrast while keeping it very soft and romantic, just how I like it!
Gwenda used hydrangea, roses, snowberries, kangaroo paws and foraged foliage to create a large, informally-structured bouquet and a statement table centerpiece.

For this look I chose to keep the make up soft & elegant. Warm golds & soft chocolate to contour the eyes with individual lashes for extra pop & a soft rose lip colour.
The hair again elegant & romantic, soft curls pinned loosely up keeping texture & volume to the style. Hair was also un pinned for a soft volumes tousled effect too with a stronger pink to compliment flowers in the hair.
Words from Alex from Vintage Rose Cupcakes
There is so much choice when it comes to the colours of autumn and I enjoyed combining warm gold with bold florals. I designed a three tier stacked cake with two tiers of white lace icing and introduced some warmth with a gold middle tier. The floral decoration of orange and pink sugar dalia really work with the gold and the softer silver grey sugar eucalyptus.
