A Relaxed Boho Tipi Wedding With Pretty Pastel Colour Scheme: Anna & Jonathan

Anna & Jonathan wanted their wedding to have a relaxed and fun feeling to it, so they chose a boho wedding vibe. Anna always knew that she wanted pastels as her main colour scheme as she absolutely loves them – I think she made the perfect choice. Their boho tipi style wedding in the grounds of the breathtakng Abbey is just gosh darn pretty!

As I’m Australian we tried as best as we could to add in little bits of where I am from. We had all of the guests sing Waltzin Matilda, I had eucalyptus in my bouquet and we made sure there were some of my favourite Australian songs played througout the night… And of course we served Coopers Pale Ale as one of our beers!

We choose Jervaulx Abbey as Jonathan is from up North and it was just stunning and gave us a relaxed but beautiful background.

I loved how feminine My Dana Bolton wedding dress looked and how it felt on. I needed to have sleeves on my dress and I wanted a low cut back. As I had the dress made for me, it meant that I could make sure I had what I wanted. Dana was great to work with.

We chose our florist as they were sophisticated and had a boho pretty style to their work.

Eliza blooms did the bouquets, but my mother in law and step mum did the flowers for the venue. They all did an amazing job!

My Dad walked me down the aisle to ‘She’ by Elvis Costello.

Genevieve our wedding photographer was amazing to work with. She took the most beautiful photos and we never felt like we had to spend copious amounts of time posing on our special day. We would recommend her to anyone!

We decorated the venue ourselves, with our family. We spent many months on pinterest and Jons Mum really pulled it all together.

If we could share any advice with future brides and grooms, we would say…

Enjoy the planning, it’s actually really fun and really enjoy the day! It’s one of the only times that you will get all of your family and friends together in one room. It is awesome!

The most memorable part of the day was Jonathan’s speech. I know he was quite time poor and was trying to grab time here and there to get it done (I hear he was in the bath the night before the wedding writing it). And it was absolutely beautiful, he really pulled it our of the bag.

Our first dance was to ‘Sea of Love’ by Cat Power. This has been a song of ours for many years and we always knew that when we did one day get married that we would have this beautiful song.

Such a super gorgeous pastel perfect wedding and so many boho pretty details!
