‘Hollywood Glam’ A Sophisticated, Feminine Bridal Shoot With Bold Burgundy!

If you like your pretty with a bit of an interesting edge then you will adore today’s feminine, ‘Hollywood Glam’ bridal shoot. Soft pale pinks and gorgeous golds are contrast perfectly with bold burgundy giving this beautiful shoot a sophisticated and edgy vibe.

The styling of the brides and maids is something else too. The wedding dress is made out of swathes of dreamy semi-translucent tulle contrasted with a gold sash belt and statement headpiece. For the bridesmaids, it’s tasseled tops over gorgeous sequined skirts and I for one LOVE IT!

I love a bride that is confident in being unique and love to do things her way breaking the traditional rules. I wanted to bring pale colour palettes to life by adding a bit of an edge to it. Pale pink doesn’t have to be just… pale pink.

I wanted to add character whilst keeping a soft romantic feel, perfect for the romantic and bold bride out there!

This was the first time I worked with Amy from Bo Boutique and I was so thrilled when she said she liked the idea and was on board! I knew I could trust her to bring to life exactly what I had in my vision and concept. As predicted, she did, and so much more.

I got married at Ganyes Park myself in September 2014. A romantic venue with gorgeous gardens and surrounded by the most amazing backdrop. I knew Gaynes Park was just what I wanted, and it was a perfect extra bonus that it holds a very special place in my heart.

I was approached by photographer Ilaria Petrucci who wanted me to style a shoot for her with a concept of Hollywood Glamour – she wanted me to use lots of pink and sparkle… and my quest was to show how you can use those feminine elements, but with more of a grown up spin!…

I wanted the shoot to be a little more edgy and editorial than a lot of bridal inspiration shoots that I see a lot of today..

I wanted this shoot to be a little harder around the edges in places, but still retaining softness so that it appeals to today’s bridal audience. I wanted to show how you can still use a colour pallet of pinks and golds, but by mixing it with deeper toned burgundy and dark wood, you can take it to a new sophisticated level.

I styled the shoot, created the florals, and also made all of the dresses (brides and two bridesmaids).
