Relaxed Riverside Wedding With Bride Wearing Incredible Wildflowers Crown: Joss & Tim

Today’s most wanted wedding is a relaxed riverside affair – inspired by natural, green foliage and wildflower wonder!

Joss and Tim had an effortlessly elegant wedding, with the bride wearing a simple, backless Pronovias wedding gown and accessorising with minimal jewellery and an INCREDIBLE wildflower floral crown.

We wanted a relaxed vibe and as the venue was a riverside location we opted for a bit of a regatta theme with the colours and styling. We both love wildflowers so these were a key part of the look and I didn’t want to look too “done.”

Tarnia Williams – we like natural, green foliage and Tarnia captured this perfectly both in the bouquets and in the table decorations. I loved my flower crown. Given it was the only accessory I had and I didn’t know what it was going to look like until the day, I was nervous to see it but it totally amazed me when she delivered it that morning. Really made me excited and finished off my dress perfectly.

My wedding dress was Pronovias Atelier – bought from Windsor and Eton Brides. A simple dress with a statement back – I loved the sleekness of it and it didn’t look too bridal either and I also felt like myself in it.

Our wedding ceremony was at St.Michael’s Church Bray, Berkshire and then Riverside Marquee, Weir Bank, Bray. The venue was chosen as I grew up in Bray village.

My Dad walked me down the aisle to the Prince of Denmark’s March. One of the most memorable moments was the actual ceremony – all our friends and family being there.

(Tim) Finally seeing Joss in her dress was a very special moment.

Our wedding photographer Ilaria captured our day perfectly, and her photographs demonstrate the relaxed vibe we hoped people would enjoy.

Wedding favours were Mini Campari Soda’s sourced from an Italian wholesaler – Nife is Life.com.

Melissa Woodland Cakes created our wedding cake. We wanted multiple flavours and to use a local supplier. Melissa’s work looked great and when we met her she instantly got what we wanted. Something pretty but simple with a bit of a quirky edge – hence the flamingos on top.

A gluten-free cake was supplied by Henrietta Irman who is an expert in Clean Cake making and who I highly regard within the industry.

Tim and I met in Feb 2012 in London – we found each other on Guardian Soulmates having little experience of online dating. We soon realised we were a good match and we welcomed a baby daughter in June 2014. We got engaged a year after our daughter was born in 2015 – we had been engaged a year before our wedding day.

If we could impart any words of wisdom to future brides and grooms?

Don’t let your guests go hungry or thirsty – people have travelled sometimes a long way to come and see you on your big day so you should at least try to keep them fed and watered. Don’t fret about every detail as on the day people don’t seem to notice.

What a gorgeously relaxed riverside wedding and so many pretty details… and I love the flamingo topped wedding cake. Amazing!
