Today’s incredibly pretty wedding was held in a farm type setting and was inspired by indie bridal label Bo & Luca. With a gorgeous colour palette of dusty rose (think velvet bridesmaid dresses) and Lauren’s stunning boho, forehead headpiece – this is one wedding you are going to love!

I was lucky enough to have the time to plan the entire wedding on my own, the vendors that I used were very professional and experienced which made our day and planning stress-free, and my maid of honour had recently got married and she helped me with all the formalities- which I am forever grateful.
I went to stores in Johannesburg, Capetown and Durban and could not find the wedding dress I had in my mind, so I flew to Johannesburg and met with Ryan Keys – he understood my style immediately and drew a picture of the dress for me. I loved the simplicity of the dress, with the low back. And most importantly the hand beaded fabric.
When it came to the inspiration for our wedding day I was definitely inspired by bridal designers, Bo and Luca, I followed them on Instagram and loved their styled shoots and posts.
My Dad walked me down the aisle to a unique song that we loved, Quinten and I both searched and searched for it. It’s called ‘Waiting Around’ by Aisha Badru.
I have known our wedding photographer Kate Martens for around 10 years. I wanted someone that would make us feel comfortable, knowing that we were going to have a camera on us for most of the day. Both Quinten and myself are camera shy and Kate was just fantastic and what’s even better is that our photographs came out better than we ever imagined.
Netherwood Farm, in Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa was our wedding venue. Netherwood has a “farm-type” charm yet a modern reception and chapel.
Quinten and I met 5 years ago, we got engaged in the Seychelles, which was the best day of my life, knowing I get to spend every day with him.
The entire wedding day was so special from the morning with my mom and girls, to the ceremony and seeing Quinten, then celebrating with all our friends and family. It was the best day ever!
If we could give advice to other couples planning their wedding day…
Don’t stress the small stuff, and enjoy every minute from the planning to the actual big day. Time goes so quickly and it all over before you know it. Try not spend hours away as it is the only time you have with all your beautiful people
What a stunning wedding – loving Lauren’s style and that dustry rose colour palette!
